What helps you get motivated?
Having my goals written down at the start of the year helps me to visualise the end goal. This keeps me motivated. Not every day is easy, but knowing I can physically look at what I can achieve keeps me on the right track.
What’s your favourite Herbalife product?
Right now, it’s Herbalife 24 Formula 1 Sport. It is so refreshing to have as a recovery shake after training or added into my smoothies for a snack.
Any workout tips for mums trying to get into running?
Start by enjoying it. Run for one minute, walk for one minute and gradually work your way up to two minutes, three minutes and so on. My advice is also to try running with a friend or listen to some music or a podcast. Forgetting about what you are actually doing and enjoying the moment is something that works for me.
Do you set regular goals?
I set my main goals at the start of the running season, which is in September, and again in January. Because who doesn’t love setting goals in January?! If things change within my training, I adapt and make new goals. But for me, the goals are set fairly far in advance.
When do you take Rebuild Strength?
I take it after training, and also add it into my breakfast to get some extra protein in. I really enjoy it with protein pancakes or porridge.
How important is a strict training regime to you?
I don’t like to use the word strict to be honest. I train because I love it. I also like to know there is a part of the day that I think about nothing else but my training. I do train 6 days per week, but I know this is what I need to do and luckily for me, I love doing it! But in all aspects of my life, I find routine is what suits me best. It helps me to stay focused and organised.
